Architectural Designer

As the Lead Drafter, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and supervising our drafting team while ensuring the accuracy and quality of our CAD drawings and preparations for permit. Responsibilites

  • Coordinate and supervise the drafting team to ensure the production of high-quality CAD drawings and construction documents.

    Collaborate with designers and engineers to assemble comprehensive plan-sets, ready for the permitting process.

    Maintain accurate documentation throughout the permitting process and comply with the California Building Code, CEC, CPC, and other relevant regulations.

    Utilize and research basic zoning and setbacks information to optimize project design and size.

    Communicate effectively with planning and building department employees to seek clarification on project issues.

    When as-built drawings are not available, make site-visits to measure and develop existing floorplans for use as demo and proposed plans for permitting.

  • Proficient in technical drafting using one or more of the following programs: AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Chief Architect, and other 3D/2D CAD software that can produce proper page layout.

    Familiarity with the California Building Code and ability to stay updated on code compliance throughout the permitting process.

    General understanding of zoning and setbacks and their impact on project design.

    Knowledge of the permitting process and ability to adapt to the typical cycle and rhythm.

    Ability to work on conceptual 3D modeling and rendering for client presentations.

    3 years of Revit (preferred)

  • Experience in 3D modeling/rendering for conceptual purposes using software of your choice.

    Familiarity with architectural or interior design companies and general construction/assembly knowledge relevant to residential construction/renovations.

  • Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $72,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
